Sgt. Allen (Joe) Schmeider arrived home from D.C. Wednesday. He has had 6 surgeries to mend his arm and is now on the way to recovery. He is in a lot of pain and has had some neurological damage. (has a hard time remembering anything) Inaddition, he has ringing in his ears. He will be in Wisconsin until the 19th on medical leave when he will go back to D.C. until January. Then he will return to his unit in Alaska where he will remain through the rest of his service time.
