12/23/09 GOD at Work in Afghanistan !
Thank you for all of your Prayer Warriors. This is one of our “own” that some of you have been praying Psalm 91 & 144 over everyday. Our God is Faithful & Good! If you even question it, read this email from a mother in our church below…
When I got home last night my son was waiting for me! He is in great spirits and is bursting to talk to family.
So far he talked about being in a adulterated hummer truck and blown up several times. The trucks have a remote control cart that goes out in front of the truck to hopefully hit the mines and spare the truck. Once he was thrown off the top of the gun turret buried in the sand. When they pulled him out his face was completely black from the explosion, but he was unharmed. Another time the explosion of the land cart was so strong that the front of the truck was hit and the guy next to him had the femur in his leg snapped. Another time the recon truck was in front and they were blown up losing three soldiers.
The windows in the big supply trucks are two inches thick. My son was inside and gun fire opened up at them. As he looked out of the window five bullets lodged in the glass material right in front of his eyes. A different time mortars came in from the Taliban and blew up the fuel supply tent about half a city block from where my son was napping in a big supply truck that buffered him from debris.
The daily life of our soldiers while in Afghanistan. God has done a great work protecting my son.

… corey did get his package! He said to tell you thanks! He also said whoever picked out the movie to tell them that it was a GREAT pick. So if you could relay that to whoever picked it out if you know, please tell them thank you.
He is doing well and so far has had no problems. The guys newest requests are, air freshners for their rooms (stinky men), and movies(anything entertaining). It really does meen a lot to him. He hasnt recived any except from me and you. Yet. Thanks again.
